Pam J. Beal
Executive Director, Southern Nevada Immunization and Health Coalition
For over 18 years, Pam Beal has been leading and managing community health projects. From 1995 to 2001, she established five comprehensive school based health centers, mobile, rural and WIC clinics. She spent five years as a Community Health Director, Manager and Coordinator with CHRISTUS ST. Patrick Hospital, part of CHRISTUS Health system which is ranked by size among the top 10 Catholic health systems in the United States. During that time, she was also instrumental in successfully advocating for over $2.6 million in legislative appropriation for child and adolescent health, and for developing a model for Health Care Facilities to embrace school- based health centers within their institutions.
Ms. Beal became Executive Director of the Southern Nevada Immunization and Health Coalition (SNIHC) in the spring of 2007. Since then, Ms. Beal has lead SNIHC through unprecedented growth both in terms of leadership and general membership.
Ms. Beal has completed two Fellowships, first as a New Mexico Governor’s Fellow under the administration of Former New Mexico Governor Bruce King (working with the NM Governor’s cabinet secretaries for the Department of Health and Department of Finance) in Santa Fe and as a Faculty Fellow for the Foundation for the Mid South in Jackson, Mississippi.
Ms. Beal is the recipient of numerous awards in healthcare and most recently was honored as a 2011 CPBH Health Advocate Award recipient; 2010 Senoras of Excellence and Sunrise Children’s Foundation Over the Top Award; 2009 Merck Vaccination Service Award and Alpha Kappa Alpha Nevada Chapter Health Service Award.
Originally from Southwest Louisiana, Ms Beal has degrees in Accounting and Business.
